Top 5 Family-Friendly Hotels in Singapore for Staycations
How We Picked
We wrote this review by combining our team’s experiences and those of past guests we’ve interviewed.
Out of over 300 family-friendly hotels, we picked what we think are the best by using the following criteria:
Facilities and amenities
We picked hotels with kid-friendly facilities and amenities on top of the basic accommodation offerings.
Such family-friendly features may include pools, play areas, and pet-friendly zones, among others.
Rooms
As we were looking for staycation destinations, we were particular about the rooms.
We were specific about the layouts, furnishings, and views, evaluating if these factors contributed to families feeling welcomed and relaxed.
Location
We selected hotels with convenient proximities to transportation, shops, and restaurants. Plus points go to accommodations close to tourist spots in Singapore.
Customer service
We picked accommodations with a responsive front desk, and those with attentive and friendly wait staff.

Pros
- Cozy room interiors
- Warm and friendly staff
- Relaxing outdoor pool
Cons
- Booking can be challenging
- Leans on the expensive side
Crowne Plaza in Changi Airport has rooms perfect for a young family of three, with cozy, beautifully furnished rooms that offer either a view of the runway or of the pool.
Family guests we’ve interviewed said that the rooms were ideal for their small group. The twin beds, with enough space to squeeze a toddler or a small child in, were perfect for a few nights.
A family also mentioned that the furniture in the room, particularly the couches, was also movable, giving further convenience.
They said the carpeted floor also added to the homey feel of the place and acted as another safety feature for their exploring kid.
The outdoor views also made for a great work backdrop.
That said, you might want to inquire first if you’re bringing more than one kid or a relative with you. Crowne Plaza allows joint rooms for larger groups, but securing them might be an uphill climb.
Though the guests enjoyed their stay, most of them told us that booking in Crowne Plaza can be challenging at times since this hotel has direct access to the airport. It means departing and incoming people often flock to the rooms.
That said, they clarified that they still preferred booking here because of its proximity to the Jewel Shopping Mall.
Others, meanwhile, booked rooms, as they want to stay somewhere relaxing as they wait for their flights abroad.

Pros
- Spacious, well-furnished family rooms
- Great garden views in some rooms
- Kid-friendly amenities available
- Engaging playspaces
Cons
- Possible room service misses
- Pricey
Beyond its beauty, Shangri-La Singapore is worth mentioning for its spacious family rooms and kid-friendly spaces.
The stay was, in general, satisfying, according to a family we interviewed. They also appreciated the amenities for young kids such as baby cots, high chairs, and sleep bundles.
Booking the family rooms also gave them access to two well-designed play spaces. The parents said they were happy that their youngsters got to enjoy themselves while the adults relaxed by the pools or in their rooms.
The hotel’s location was unmatched, too. It’s a few minutes’ drive from the Singapore Botanic Gardens and Orchard Road, two of the city’s most popular destinations.
That said, a few families encountered lapses such as delayed room services and not being allowed to extend their stays.
To be fair, know that these misses often happen during peak season when the influx of guests can overwhelm the staff.
You might want to reconsider booking if you want a more secluded place, as Shangri-La Singapore is surrounded by other hotels.

Pros
- Simple yet cozy room interiors
- Nice rooftop pool
- Mid-range room rates
- Location near museums and parks
Cons
- Limited kid-friendly amenities
- Family room limited to four guests
- Possible customer service misses
30 Bencoolen offered what our team member Amy claimed was a straightforward, no-frills staycation experience.
The family room she booked had comfy, clean beds, a cozy, carpeted living area, and en-suite bathrooms with modern fixtures. She said the overall layout and feel of the place were perfect for quiet rest and relaxation.
She also loved the digital room safe, as she got to keep her valuables in a secure place while the family checked out the surrounding destinations during the day.
The multiple power outlets were great, too, as both husband and wife worked in front of their laptops in the evenings.
Beautiful outdoor views were limited, though. Amy’s respite was the rooftop pool which offered a view of the city skyline.
The three-star hotel has no kid-friendly amenities save for the baby cots, but it was understandable given the lower rates and smaller footprint of the accommodation.
We recommend looking for other options if you prefer to stay all day in the hotel with your kids, as there wasn’t much to see for children here. Still, we think most adults will love the tranquility of the place.
But if your family prefers roaming around, you’re in for a treat, as the hotel’s location is near child-friendly destinations including the National Museum and Fort Canning Park.

Pros
- Large windows and great city views
- Gorgeous pool
- Broad breakfast selection
- Close to Orchard Road
Cons
- Does not allow young kids
- Limited TV channels
If you have an older kid in tow, the Quincy Hotel Singapore can be a good prospect for your next family staycation for its well-kept rooms that come at reasonable rates.
One of our reviewers, Honey, came here with her teenage daughter and husband. She scored a discount thanks to the hotel’s promo for early bookers.
However, she needed to pay for an additional mattress, as the rooms here fit only two guests.
She said the rooms were decent, especially the beds. She also appreciated the large bay windows which made way for much-needed outdoor views and natural lighting.
That said, the bathroom was a bit cramped for her. She said the huge mirrors made it look larger, though, so using it wasn’t entirely bad.
Honey also thought that the TV in the room could use an upgrade, as the channels were limited.
Her daughter, though, loved the complimentary snacks and the generous breakfast options. Dining at the alfresco area, meanwhile, was the family’s favorite part of starting the day.

Pros
- Near family-friendly attractions
- Airy and sunlit rooms
- Most rooms have balconies
- Offers Sentosa Express Pass to guests
Cons
- Furnishing is a bit dated
- Pricey
The rooms in Equarius Hotel can satisfy guests who require both space and views, thanks to their oversized, lavishly furnished rooms.
A family with two children who booked here noted the comfortable beds that faced the balcony and overlooked the surrounding greenery. According to adults, waking up to such sceneries made a great start to the day.

That said, the guests remarked that the furnishing could use a little upgrade. Nonetheless, the sunlit room and balcony made up for the slightly outdated furniture pieces.
Know that the hotel was a bit difficult to reach given its Sentosa address. Still, the family we interviewed preferred it, as they want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city center.
Also, the hotel is part of Resorts World Sentosa and is close to Universal Studios Singapore and the S.E.A Aquarium. So despite being far from the CBD, they said that the location was perfect for family excursions.
