Pros
- Offers rich and diverse culinary experience
- Has budget-friendly catering options
- Can help with planning your event
- Long-standing industry player
Cons
- Occasional lack of responsiveness
- Rigid order cancellation policies
- Processing of refund can take up to 4 weeks
Orange Clove Catering is high up on our list, as they serve what we like best—corporate catering.
On a more serious note, we commend this caterer for lasting over 14 years in the industry and showing no signs of stopping.
What stood out for us is the broad price range of their offerings, accommodating budgets from small family meals to big company parties.
If you’re ordering the most affordable menu for small groups, ensure you got at least 10 people eating, as per Orange Clove’s policy.
Apart from catering, we like that the company can also do event planning, set up a sparkling and elegant dessert bar, and even whip up daily bento meal plans for offices!
Be aware that you usually need to wait at least two days before the company confirms your orders. If you’re not a fan of waiting that long, then Orange Clove might not be for you.
Note also that you can’t cancel your order if you placed it online. Thankfully, you can do so if you booked your order through phone or email (just ensure you communicate it early to avoid hassles).

Pros
- Prepares healthy meals
- Efficient ordering and delivery system
- Usually responsive
- Serves vegetarian dishes
Cons
- A bit pricey
- Occasional packaging mishaps
Wanting to eat healthy meals but not having the time to prepare them shouldn’t be a problem if you let Grain do the planning.
The company uses wholesome ingredients to ensure you only get healthy dishes. Also, they have a wide selection of bento meals that you can eat anywhere you like or set aside for microwaving later.
The best part is that Grain does not sacrifice taste just to keep its food healthy. You would understand what we mean if you ever get to try its best-selling short ribs, beef brisket, or better yet, the Chinese New Year specials.
But as with other food services opting for the healthy route, Grain also has a slightly higher price point than others. Those on a budget may consider the caterer’s more affordable breakfast or snack offerings instead.
Delivery fees are also a bit pricey at about $42 and up. Thankfully, you can choose to pick up your orders to save some dollars.
4. Mom’s Cooking

Pros
- Reasonable package prices
- Generous food portion
- Dishes not salty or seasoned with MSG
- Delivery often on time
Cons
- Limited food choices
- Not ideal for people with special dietary requirements
- Might be too busy to respond at times
Mom’s Cooking caught our attention with its comforting name. And the company does live up to its title by offering familiar but extra tasty tingkat delivery meals.
The company’s strong point is its emphasis on serving dishes that taste like home. It also does so while prioritizing nutritious and healthy ingredients.
We particularly love that the food they serve is not laden with MSG or unhealthy oil.
And while Mom’s Cooking calls it tingkat delivery, its service does away with traditional tin containers and uses only food-grade, microwavable paper ones.
That said, we think ordering from the caterer is not ideal if you have special dietary needs. The food service does not usually accommodate requests beyond the common ones like non-spicy or no-beef variants.
We also think Mom’s Cooking could use some flexibility, like varying their soup options per weekly offering and expanding their menu to include a vegetarian-friendly selection. That way, more people can delight in their food.
5. Tian Wei Signature

Pros
- Creative dishes
- Great care given to food nutrition
- Prompt and responsive customer service
- Plenty of promos upon sign-up
Cons
- A bit pricey
- Some meals might be too salty
We think it’s genius that a company focuses on one type of catering service like what Tian Wei Signature does.
Serving confinement food for mothers, the company succeeded to carve a niche in the seemingly saturated field.
Better yet, Tian Wei sees to it that the meals they serve will delight and nourish mothers recovering in the hospital.
We particularly like how the caterer chose Mediterranean fusion and Japanese fusion dishes for its menu on top of traditional Chinese confinement food, giving customers more options.
We also love that the company has a dietitian on board to ensure the nutritional content of the dishes.
That said, Tian Wei’s rates are quite pricey. We would understand if some people will opt for homemade food instead of spending close to a thousand dollars for a meal plan for one.
Also, some savory dishes may taste too salty to some moms. Thankfully, you are allowed to specify your preferences ahead of time to avoid an unpleasant experience.
6. The Halia
Menu: Bento and packed food, communal set, buffet

Pros
- Extensive food selection
- Halal-certified
- Wide range of food services
- Vegetarian dishes available
Cons
- Less experienced than other caterers
- Pricey
You might have heard of The Halia from foodies and tourists who have loved the restaurant for its proximity to the lush greenery of Singapore Botanic Gardens and its delectable, lovingly presented dishes.
Fortunately, you can get a taste of the food experience, as the restaurant also offers catering services. The company even provides carving and pasta stations for premium buffets!
We love that you can also book them to serve your meals if you want to do your wedding reception at the botanic gardens.
However, expect a few communication hiccups when you book the resto, given how busy The Halia is.
You might also need to cash out more, as The Halia’s food (based on its restaurant menu) is on the expensive side.
We expect the same for its catering dishes, but we recommend getting a quote through the company website first so you can see the actual expected cost.

Ketomei is a food tech company founded by Constant Tong in 2019, focused on providing healthy, keto-friendly meals designed to help customers lose weight and meet their health goals.
Based in Asia, where carb-rich diets are prevalent, Ketomei aims to make the keto lifestyle sustainable, enjoyable, and accessible.
We like that Ketomei delivers meals directly to customers’ doors, making it easy for busy individuals to maintain a keto diet without the hassle of meal prep.
The convenience factor is a major plus for those with hectic schedules.
Ketomei offers a wide range of dishes, ensuring that customers do not get bored with their meal plans.
The variety includes different types of meats, vegetables, and flavors, catering to diverse taste preferences. We think there’s something for everybody!
Many customers have praised Ketomei for offering affordable meal plans. Considering the quality and convenience, the price point is competitive and accessible for a broad audience.
We think it’s notable that the meals are made from fresh, high-quality ingredients.
This focus on quality not only enhances the taste but also ensures that the nutritional value of the meals is maintained.
Some customers have reported inconsistency in portion sizes, especially with more expensive meats like duck and mutton. This inconsistency can be frustrating and affect the overall satisfaction with the service.
